The Apple iPhone 7 plus and the iPhone 7 comes in two different sizes, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and basically they have the dimensions as the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S plus. However the iPhone 7 is still worthy of an upgrade as it comes with the host of new features such as waterproofing along with dual cameras on the front and back. The iPhone 7 has a IP76 certification which means the phone is actually waterproof then you can actually put it into a 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes in terms of screen size the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are exactly the same as the iPhone 6S and 6S plus so no real changes there.
Another big change with the iPhone 7 over the predecessor iPhone 6S is the integration of these antenna lines around the phone so the good thing about getting either the black iPhone 7 models if you can’t really notice the antenna line that goes around the iPhone and apple have been able to integrate the antenna line a lot better than they did with previous models.
If we take a look at the bottom of the phone here it looks like we have stereo speakers but in actual fact one of the lines he is a speaker and the other is a microphone line Apple wanted to make it look very nice by having the same amount of lines on both sides. Another thing to mention here is the removal of the headphone audio jack so now we just have one lightning USB port on the bottom.
On the top of the phone beside the earpiece that you can see we now have a 7 megapixel FaceTime HD camera with F 2.2 aperture and this camera can record at 1080p HD video.
On the back of the iPhone 7 we’ve got a 12 megapixel camera with optical stabilization and F 1.8 aperture now beside the main camera sensor with a second sensor which is a 12 megapixel sensor just like the other one however it’s got out 2.8 aperture which allows you to zoom in on images now beside the dual cameras we have a microphone plus we have a quad LED flash which is 50% brighter and can shoot 50% further.
So would I recommend the iPhone 7? I would say yes for sure I’m not really an iPhone fan but just the general quality of the build of the phone, it’s really nice, the phone fits really well in the hand the rounded edges feel really nice and comfortable it doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip out of your hand when you’re using it.
Apple have done a really good job getting the screen to attach to the bezel there. If I had to say anything negative about it is probably just the length of time that it took me to get this this actual model so the iPhone 7 Plus so I hope I pre-ordered back in September and it’s only just arrived now and it’s now December so it took a long time to get here and part of the delay for these iPhones here in Australia was that these Black covers a really hard to manufacture and apparently they had something like a 40% failure rate with the quality of these black covers on the iPhone 7 and that’s why I’d actually take such a long time to work to get one of these models here in Australia.

In this video we run will find out if Apple updates can slow down your iOS device.
Hi All
Some people say that after they run Apple Updates on their iOS device so iPad, iPhone or iPod that their device slows down allot. I had an old iPad 2 laying around the house that was running a pretty old version of iOS, iOS 7. So I thought before I upgrade my old iPad 2 to the current version of iOS 9.2.1 at the time of writing this article. I thought I would run GeekBench which is a benchmark app used for testing the performance of hardware.
So running iOS 7 I performed the following tests.
* Running GeekBench 3 times with device running on battery
* Running GeekBench 3 times with device plugged into power
The device operated pretty much the same with the cable plugged in or out. Here are the results. iOS 7.1.2 Results On Battery Single Core Score
264 Multi Core Score – 500
264 Multi Core Score – 499
264 Multi Core Score – 498
Plugged in Single Core Score
265 Multi Core Score – 499
264 Multi Core Score – 499
264 Multi Core Score – 499
iOS 9.2.1 Results On Battery Single Core Score
262 Multi Core Score – 497
262 Multi Core Score – 496
262 Multi Core Score – 497
Plugged in Single Core Score
262 Multi Core Score – 496
262 Multi Core Score – 497
263 Multi Core Score – 497
So after looking at the results do Apple updates slow down the performance of your iOS device and it seems the answer to this question is YES! But in this instance not enough that I believe that you would notice.
This video will show you the Asus G751JT-CH71 Unboxing & Benchmark.
I am pretty excited as I sit down to write out this 123myIT update. The video above was the first video I have recorded in 4K resolution. It marks a new era for 123myIT and a higher video quality for 123myIT users.
Now that that’s over with, let start talking about the Asus G751JT-CH71 Unboxing. I have been a fanboy of the Asus Republic of Gamers laptops for the past 4 years. As much as I hate to say the word, its probably true.
Why do I upgrade to a new laptop every year I here you ask? Well I use the laptop for gaming and for work on the 123myIT.com website. So I like to keep the technology up to date. So after one year I buy the newest laptop and I sell the old one on websites like Gumtree.com. This allows me to keep up to date with the latest hardware without costing an arm or leg. I also never buy the very top of the line hardware as I don’t see it as value for money. And while you might think this laptop is the top of the range, its actually not and I will explain why. This model comes with the Geforce GTX 970m and not the Geforce GTX 980m which is the faster GPU. This model also doesn’t include the faster SSD drive rather it has the slower 1TB 7200 RPM Sata drive. Which I will actually do a video on how to upgrade hard drive later. So as you can see, I have gone purely for bang for my buck type of laptop.
What I like about the Asus laptops is that they are powerful with nice design don’t have ugly flashing lights on them, they run at a cool temperature due to the massive big fan cooling system on the back of the laptops.
So on first look at the latest Asus G751JT-CH71 model, the first things I noticed is that the grills at the back of the laptop have been panted red. I am not sure If I like this colour change I see it a kind of “try hard”. But maybe that’s just my taste and others will probably disagree with me.
The next thing you will notice is the keyboard has changed from white background keys to red, and the keyboard now includes a few extra keys such as the ROG key, Shadow Play, Stream and Macro keys. Also the WASD keys have been highlighted with a awesome red colour which make hem stand out. The only draw back here I seem to press Shadow Play key by mistake rather then the Escape key which I find very annoying as it boot me out of any game I might be playing and back to the desktop.
The other upgrades are the newer 17.3″ 16:9 IPS FHD (1920×1080) anti-glare display which makes the colours look deeper as well as a CPU upgrade.
Asus has tied it all together very nicely with a well designed chassis.
While this laptop wont be for everyone, if you are looking for a desktop replacement gaming laptop then you should definitely take a look at the Asus G751JT-CH71.
