  2. I`ve downloaded redsnow thinking that it might sort my problem of not being able to download Facebook app on to my iphone 3g but I still can`t download it. Am I doing something wrong & can you help, please?????

      • hello 🙂 i cant jailbrak my iphone 3g it says downloading Jailbrake data… and its frozen on the pc its sayng uploading ramdisk and only has 4 bars of loading wat should i do ?

        • Hi Dragan
          First of all do a backup of your data to iTunes. You can see the video on how to here.

          Once you have done that, do a iTunes restore this will blow away any funny settings you might have on your iPhone. You can see my video here.

          Once this is done you should have an iPhone that has all the original factory settings. Try the jailbreak again. Video here.

          If you are still having USB problems try the steps in this video here.

Hi Matthew….I have pressed restored button….I restored it to factory setting…then I have to jailbreak it again….now then I have restored it to iTunes…its now normal as it was earlier…my wifi is working.. my version is 4.2.1…Modem Firmware is 05.15.04… Now I have some more issues.. First is I want to make my network working its always in (Searching…) & I also want it change it to my name… I have iTunes ID but im not able to change it…I have change it in Setting>Store> my ID and password…but when ever I connect it to iTunes it shows previous name ( xxxxxx’s iphone) not my name like (amit’s iphone) so I hope u can help me to solve these issues…Thanks!!!

    Thank you for all the great tips and helps. I have a huge problem. I recently downloaded windows 8 (64bit) on my macbook pro with retina display and when i switch to windows side i can not connect to the internet. I have done almost everything. I clean boot , i downloaded a 3rd party add on to see if that works but i can not connect to the internet. I can see all the networks names and i can see the full bars but as soon as i put my password in which i am 100% sure it is a correct password because i am using it with 5 other devices, it say it can not connect to the network, Any help or suggestion would be great and appreciated.
    I am not sure if i just go ahead and download a windows 7 professional instead of 8 would solve my issue or not?

    I have managed to delete my contacts from my Iphone 4 when I thought I was adding the iCloud. Do you know how I can restore it? The strange part is is that when I write a new message all my contacts are there, but when I go to contacts there’s none?

    • Hi Tina
      Sure, do you know if you have any backups of your iPhone whe you plugged it into your PC?
      If so then you simply need to restore a backup of your iPhone, this should restore your contacts to your phone. Make sure you READ the restore details carefully when you do a restore. If you dont read it then its possible that you will restore a copy of the backup that does not contain your contacts.

      So you need to restore a OLD copy of your backup.

      This video here will step you through the Backup Restore. You dont need to do the first part which is creating a back up. You need to do the second part which is restoring a backup. So watch the video till about half way through and it will make sence.

  12. Your tutorials are AWESOME, just checked out the ones you have for the Galaxy S firmware updates and how to get out of the Black Screen of Death! You had mentioned in your firmware tutorial about updating the firmware further than 2.3.6 Do you think that maybe you could make a library on your site with ones that you trust? I just don’t trust downloading them anywhere from the internet. Keep up the good work Your AWESOME!!!

      Thanks for your Kind words. I understand what you mean about the files from trusted sources and however I have no way of telling if the files are ok rather than testing them in my videos and hardware first. So you should always be weary even with files from my site as I just grab put them in a location which is easy for everyone to find. Its really up to the user to decide if my advice is right for them. That being said I do try my best to make sure it all works as I say in the videos. 🙂

I used your website to jailbreak my iphone 3gs 4.1.2 or whatever and I erased all contents and data :'( at first, the apple logo just kept coming off and on so i went on youtube, managed to connect it to itunes and it wont restore.   24. I read your articles regarding unlocking iphone4 I tried several tricks unlocking my iphone 4 IOS 6.1.3, 04.12.05, UK Tmobile unlocked. I tried using redsnow, snowbreez too. after using selecting 6.0 it done everything fine but always stuck on “waiting for boot” error, snowbreez creates custom ios but iTunes do not recognisez if I use 6.1.3 and if I use 6.o t hn it creates everything and iTunes done restoring also but thn it gives ‘error3194″ I checked hosts file and there is no apple link. whats next?

  26. Nice website man! If you don’t mind I have some questions. I have my 2009 Mac Pro partitioned with windows vista originally, but recently installed windows 8. When I installed windows 8 it automatically installed the 32 bit. I’m having trouble with finding a boot camp version for the 32 bit that will fix my audio problem while I’m running windows. Do I need to wipe it clean and start the install over using boot camp ass. to install the 64 bit or can I fix my audio problem with boot camp?

      You can try it however you might be better off looking for a audio driver for you mac if you can. Have you tried running the windows support software files?

  27. hi there, i was just watching your tutorial on installing windows 8.1 using botcamp for Mac users and i wanted to ask, if i were to use the preview serial code provided on your site, is the preview limited? I’ve just bought Corel PaintShop Pro X6 and i have a Mac (Mid 2010 Mavericks 10.9.1) Once the preview time is finished, i assume i will loose the use of PaintShop Pro, would that be right?

  28. Thanks Matt so just to be clear, its not going to run on a time frame and then disallow access to the windows operating system, like some trials do. Once the trail period is over the program is limited. Essentially i just want to be able to use the operating system, not the programs as i am a Mac lover and only really need the Windows operating system to run the Corel software.

    I’ve tried to use boot camp to install win8.1
    I down loaded your win8.1 64 bit to a cd.
    I have a USB sick in with the latest drivers for using windows 8.1 on my mac 64 bit maverick all updates are done.
    When in try to run bootcamp it starts then says I need to put in a bootable win8.1. But I have the cd in my cd drive. For sone reason it can’t find it, or boot it.
    Am I doing anything wrong?

  35. I recently created a bootable USB Mavericks drive. Great directions! In the process you said to cut and paste a command into terminal. It showed all the hidden folders. How do you make it go back to normal and make my wife happy again.

    I have installed Windows 8 64bit on my late 2013 iMac and it all worked fine except that I needed to use another mouse and keyboard to finish the install.

    In your video you mentioned that I could go back and grab the drivers later, I have done that and downloaded the BootCamp5.1.5640 file but not quite sure what to do with it now…do I need to reinstall windows again or can I just install the drivers somehow?

I was wondering if you can suggest a location tracking app for my newly jail broken phone running ios 4.2.1 – apart from viber, thats the only other important app I would like to install to start with.     For that purpose i need a shsh blob of 6.1.3/7.0.6 then only I can downgrade it.
    I tried in google but I cannot find it.

    Note: You can create an shsh blob for any Iphone 4(not Iphone 4s) which is running on ios 6.1.3/7.0.6.

      My understanding is that this is a file which is signed by Apple. So in this case all you can do is backup your blob file for future use or jailbreak a version should save your blob file for later use.

      If you can find out someone who can create a blob file let me know.

  53. So I used boot camp and downloaded windows 8.1 preview(because I have a MacBook pro with no disc drive) and everything worked fine. All of my keyboard buttons worked and my mouse worked fine and I had no problems. But then I went and downloaded the full version of windows 8.1 and now none of that works. I have my basic keyboard functions and what not but none of my special buttons work, such as my backlit keyboard brightness buttons, screen brightness buttons etc… Is there any way to get those functions back again? Any help would be great!

    First, I tried to do it from my ipad itself but it has taken forever. It indicates that a download is in progress but the bar is not moving after a certain point and its being doing this for 2 days…
    I moved to trying to do it from iTunes and still no luck. I have the newest version of itunes/used all three USB ports on my laptop/two different usb chargers/and a mac laptop

      Yes I will get to this video at some stage. “Windows go” video I mean. At the moment I am about 5 videos behind and it just about getting the time to do them 🙂
      Look, in your scenario of having the MacBook with a small SSD. I think a Windows Go option would be very good for you. But it would mean you would always have to have a USB plugged into the side of your MacBook Air when you would be using Windows.

    I have a iphone 4 its firmware is 7.1.2. Its a second hand iPhone already used by my friend who lives in USA he always update this iphone without using itunes. So i Dont have any upgrade history of this iPhone available on my PC coz i live in India. So there is no shsh blobs file available on my PC. Is there any way i can get shsh blobs file from server or from my friend’s laptop if answer is yes then please tell me the method. Without downgrading this iPhone Moderm Firmware which is 04.12.09. i am unable to unlock and use this iphone here in India.

  71. Hey so i have had my samsung galaxy s4 for like a year now and i got this problem. I have got like a black screen on it and everytime i push on the power button the screen flashes white and green then it just gets black again but the phone works i could hear the sounds and get message but the screen is just all black. So i tried everything to get it back working again, so the next day i woke up the phone start to work as usual again but after like 8 hours it got the same problem.
    I havent drop it into water or anything either so its kinda wierd…

After Creating windows partition i allocated 140 gb for windows and 108 gb for mac.system restarted automatically.     About six months ago, before W10, I installed 8.1 on my 2015 Mac Book Pro retina. Using the boot camp method from your site, it worked a treat and I have been using the demo without complaint for some time. I have thought about upgrading to W10 and purchasing a version. Is there an easy way to do this? Or am I better off buying an 8.1 key and then upgrading though the windows prompts?

    I have a big problem with my iphone 6+. It cant turn on, the apple logo just comes and goes but the phone does nt turn on.I have watch almost 30 videos on how to get reed of the error 3194. Each time i try to downgrade the error 3194 appears! i have try to change the host but i still get that same error.. i also try to use tiny umbrella but only the latest version, i couldnt find the previous versions. Since i never used it before, i have no blob saved and when i connect it in DFU mode to tiny umbrella i cant see the version install on the iphone, it is written “unknown or beta version” . Even thou i tried to save the blobs like that! i used ifaith to creat an ipsw with the ipsw 8.4 i downloader for my phone but yet ifaith couldnt build the ipsw with the blobs.I also used snoowbreeze but still was unsucessful.
    Before my iphone turns off to never get back on , i had 9.1beta version installed on it and i didnt jailbreak it. So i dont even know why it got spoil. I also try to upgrade in the DFU mode on my itune but yet before the latest version is install my iphone disconnect form itune alone.

        • shsh blobs file mean? i donwload this file onliy from many sites (iPhone5,1_9.0.1_13A404_Restore.ipsw) many software use for restore but not success i downgarde ios for jailbreak 9.3.1 not jailbreak

          • Hi Mate, you need the blobs file before you upgrade your IOS as this is a signed file from apple.

    I tried to reinstall mac X maverick and it doesn’t unmount the disc, and then when it asks for apple id and I do type my apple id but then it says: “The item is temporarily unavailable, try again latter”.
    Somebody else was using it in the office and I don’t know what apple id he put in there, if he put it, which I don’t know for sure.
    So know I can’t even reopen the computer again, it has only the recovery drive, I am stuck and I needed badly for my assignment.
    Please any help?
