This is a tutorial on how to install windows 8 on a macbook pro running boot camp.
I started adding tutorial’s because some of the tutorial’s on youtube were not comprehensive and helpful enough.

“Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac. Boot Camp only supports installing Windows 7 on this Mac. Please insert a DVD which contains a full version of Windows 7.”
How to solve this? Thanks.
I would ask two questions.
1. What type of mac are you using ?
2. What version of Windows 8 is on the DVD?
It sounds to me like the mac hardware may not support your Windows 8 version.
Hi, I got my windows 8 installed on my mac but cannot get back to mac os. I tried to reboot and hold down alt but it just goes to windows. Is there a way to flip back and forth
I am running bootcamp to install windows on my iMac. I have followed your instructions and gotten farther than any other tutorial I have attempted. But now Im stuck. I partitioned, and saved windows support software. but now Im at a standstill. The computer is not rebooting. I only have a screen that says “the windows support software has been saved. Install this software after windows has been installed.”. I tried rebooting it myself and it just starts up as OS X like normal. What am I missing?
Hi Holly
Try holding down the Alt Option button when starting the iMac. Does that give you a choice to select Windows?
Cheers
Matt
